Get Your IRS Transcript for Trucking Job Verification

Need to verify your past driving income for a CDL job or contractor onboarding? Here’s how to get your Wage & Income Transcript directly from the IRS. This shows your 1099s, W-2s, and income reported to the IRS.

Step 1: Go to the IRS Transcript Page

Click the blue button that says “Get Transcript Online.”

Step 2: Sign In or Create an ID.me Account

Log in using your ID.me account, or create one if you’re new.

Step 3: Enter Your Email and Password

Use your ID.me login to connect to the IRS.

Step 4: Choose Text or Call for Code

Select how you want to receive your verification code.

Step 5: Enter the 6-Digit Code

Type in the code that was sent to your phone.

Step 6: Enter the IRS Dashboard

Under the “Records” section, click “View Tax Records.”

Step 7: Click “Get Transcript”

Find the blue “Get Transcript” button.

Step 8: Select a Reason

Choose “Other” as your reason and input a file number if provided by your recruiter.

Step 9: Select Wage & Income Transcript

Download transcripts for the years requested (usually last 2–3 years).
