Overview:
Sysco is seeking dependable local delivery truck drivers to operate straight or tractor-trailer trucks out of Knoxville, TN. This customer-facing position includes loading and unloading products at each stop and following a dedicated delivery route. All routes originate from a designated dock and conclude at the assigned lot after product delivery. This is a hands-on role that requires physical endurance and strong customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class B or Class A truck safely while following assigned delivery routes

• Unload product by hand or using a hand truck and place it in customer storage areas

• Handle stairs, ramps, docks, and various weather conditions during deliveries

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections as per DOT and company policy

• Interact professionally with customers and resolve issues on-site

• Return delivery paperwork and equipment to the hub at the end of each route

• Report delivery discrepancies and maintain delivery accuracy standards

• Organize loads efficiently and follow proper safety protocols

What You’ll Need:

• Valid CDL Class B (Class A preferred)

• 1 year of local delivery experience preferred

• High School Diploma or GED

• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT requirements

• Able to read delivery documents and follow verbal instructions in English

• Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering 50–80 lbs. during the shift

• Ability to work independently and maintain strong customer relationships
