CDL-A Trainee OTR Truck Driver – Boise ID

Are you a new CDL-A holder looking to gain OTR experience? Join a professional fleet that values your time on the road and pays you more for staying out longer. Our Boise-based terminal is now hiring entry-level drivers ready to build a solid career in long-haul dry van freight.

Position Details:

  • Terminal Location: Boise, ID

  • Service Area: Coast-to-coast OTR routes

  • Experience Level: Accepting drivers with 0–6 months of CDL-A

  • Freight Type: No-touch dry van

  • Driving Type: Solo

  • Home Time: Every 2–4 weeks, depending on your availability

  • Pay Range: $1,300 to $1,700 weekly

  • Higher pay for drivers who stay out longer (DOE)

Pay Structure:

  • Mileage-based pay from $.43 to $.58 CPM, based on experience and route

  • Weekly direct deposit

  • Safety and performance incentives

  • Additional trip pay opportunities for extended time out

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older with a valid Class A CDL

  • No DUI in last 10 years (CDL holders) or 5 years (non-CDL)

  • Max of 1 preventable DOT incident in last 2 years

  • No more than 2 moving violations within the past 24 months

  • Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test

  • No failed or refused drug tests in the last 10 years

  • Basic knowledge of safe backing and parking

  • Willingness to run during holidays as needed

  • Commitment to safety and DOT compliance

  • Flexibility for longer time out = bigger paydays
