CDL-A Local Grocery Truck Driver – Home Daily (Slip Seat)

Job Details:
We’re hiring CDL-A tractor-trailer drivers for a local grocery distribution fleet
based in Johnstown, NY. This is a home-daily, slip-seat position hauling
multi-stop grocery loads with no-touch freight — stores handle the unload while
you’re paid mileage and stop pay. Freight runs in all weather, including
cold/winter conditions, with day and night dispatch options.

• Average Weekly Earnings: About $1,600
• Weekly miles: around 2,200 miles
• Mileage pay (rate based on experience) plus $10 for first stop,
  $15 for each additional stop and $25 short-haul pay
  on loads under 50 miles
• Grocery distribution, no-touch freight – receivers perform the unload;
  live unload at stores, with some wait time
• Home daily – slip seat 5 or 6 days per week
• Shifts: both day and night (set with dispatch)
• Weekend work required

Driver Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Trainees and first-seat experienced drivers accepted
• Comfortable working day or night, in cold weather, and in a
  multi-stop grocery environment
• Able to operate in a slip-seat fleet (trucks stay at the DC; not taken home)
• Safe driving record and ability to meet standard hiring criteria
• Must live within 65 miles of ZIP 12095 (Johnstown, NY) –
  Johnstown, Albany and surrounding areas
