Eastbound I-76 Reopens Following Semi-Truck Crash

Traffic has resumed on eastbound I-76 after being temporarily closed due to a semi-truck crash. The incident, which occurred earlier today in Commerce City, involved the truck overturning after a collision with a pickup. Crews worked quickly to clear the scene, allowing the highway to reopen for travelers. No major injuries have been reported, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 in Commerce City were shut down on Saturday morning following a crash where a semi-truck overturned after colliding with a pickup truck. The accident occurred in the 10600 block of I-76, according to Commerce City Police.

A photo shared by police shows the pickup truck wedged beneath the semi’s trailer, with both vehicles entangled in the median’s barrier wires. Authorities confirmed that one person sustained injuries but did not clarify whether it was the semi-truck driver or someone from the pickup.

The eastbound lanes remained closed for several hours, but by just before 3 p.m., police reported that the highway had been reopened to traffic.
