Delivery truck driver shot after merchandise drop-off at convenience store

SAN ANTONIO – Police are searching for the gunman who shot delivery truck driver early Thursday morning on the Northwest Side.

The victim told police he was shot after he making a delivery to a 7-Eleven convenience store just before 2:30 a.m.

He claimed he was driving along Fredericksburg Road when a black SUV heading in the opposite direction made a U-turn and pulled up alongside him. He said the driver then fired one shot, hitting him in the ankle.

The truck driver returned to the 7-Eleven store on Vance Jackson near Loop 410 and called for help. He was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
