Refrigerated Grocery Routes | Weekly Home Time

We are hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for a regional refrigerated grocery account based in Indianapolis, IN. This is a night-shift position with consistent freight, steady miles, and predictable work.

Location & Hiring Area

• Based in Indianapolis, IN

• Hiring drivers within 50 miles of Indianapolis

Freight & Routes

• Refrigerated grocery freight

• Multi-stop routes to grocery stores

• Driver unload using manual pallet jack

• Lift-gate trailers

• Some tight docks and small grocery locations

• Internal customer backhauls

States Served

Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin

Pay & Compensation

• Average weekly gross: up to $1,900

• Average miles: approximately 1,800 per week

• Stop pay: $25 per stop

• Layover pay: $15

• Detention pay: $17 per hour after 1 hour at stores and 2 hours at backhauls (paid in 15-minute increments)

• On-call pay: $100 (required at least once per week)

• W-2 position

Plenty of additional work available for drivers who want to earn more.

Schedule & Home Time

• Night shift only

• Typical dock time: 8:00 PM – 3:00 AM

• 5–6 days per week

• 4–500 miles per shift

• 1–7 stops per day

• Weekend work required

• Occasional layovers during the week

• Set schedule and set days off after 90 days

• Sleeper and day cabs

• Automatic transmissions

• Refrigerated trailers with lift gates

• Slip seat operation

Training

• Paid training required

• Five training runs with a trainer

• Training pay: $250 per day

Requirements

• Minimum one season of winter driving experience

• At least one year of total driving experience

• Prior grocery or pallet-jack unloading experience preferred

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends

• Manager review required prior to hire
