Looking for a high-earning CDL-A flatbed position with consistent freight, assigned equipment, and regular home time? We are hiring experienced CDL-A Company Drivers within approximately 100 miles of Salt Lake City, UT 84104.

This semi-local position hauls building materials and roofing products throughout 11 western states. Drivers average approximately 2,500 miles per week, with most weeks including 1–2 overnight layovers.

Average Weekly Pay: $1,890–$2,000

Starting Pay: $0.67 CPM
Maximum Pay: Up to $0.71 CPM
CPM increases approximately $0.02 annually
Approximately 2,500 miles per week

Safety bonus opportunities

THE JOB
Semi-local CDL-A flatbed operation
Building materials and roofing products
Freight includes adhesives and related building materials
Approximately 2,500 miles per week
Average of approximately 3 stops per trip
Freight is live loaded and live unloaded by onsite personnel
Driver is responsible for strapping loads at pickup
Driver is responsible for unstrapping loads at delivery
Drivers may pick up backhauls
Drivers may be required to tarp backhaul loads
Routes operate throughout the western United States
Drivers may occasionally be assigned to assist another account if freight volume requires it
EQUIPMENT
53-foot flatbed trailers
Assigned sleeper trucks
Automatic transmission
International or Freightliner equipment
Trucks remain at the account during the driver’s time off
Company uniforms provided
Steel-toe boots required and reimbursed
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of trucking experience
HazMat endorsement required
HazMat endorsement must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Cost of required HazMat endorsement is reimbursed
Flatbed experience preferred but not required
Must be comfortable strapping and unstrapping loads
Must be comfortable with backing and close-quarter maneuvering
Must be willing to perform flatbed-related load securement duties
Must be comfortable working approximately 6 days per week
Must be willing to work occasional overnight layovers
Must meet applicable company and DOT hiring requirements
LOAD HANDLING

Drivers are responsible for securing freight at pickup and releasing securement at delivery.

Picking up backhaul freight
Tarping backhauls when required

Freight is live loaded and live unloaded by onsite personnel, so drivers do not perform the actual loading or unloading of the primary freight.

HOME TIME & WORK SCHEDULE

Typically 6 days per week
Occasional 5-day workweeks
Start times generally 4:00 AM–6:00 AM
Approximately 1–2 overnight layovers most weeks
